With a variety of handy tools and great services available, it’s never been easier to travel around by public transport. New technology means you don’t have to wait around at bus stops, many buses and trains now have WiFi on board, cashless ticket options and more!
The new homes at Herons Lake are in a great location for those wanting to undertake trips by public transport. In addition to a number of handy bus stops just outside the development, Theale train station is also accessible bicycle or on foot. This makes it easy and convenient to leave the car at home, whether travelling locally or travelling further afield.
Theale train station is just a 5-minute journey by bike from Herons Lake, with a small number of cycle spaces available at the station. The station can also be reached in around 20 minutes on foot. From Theale, there are frequent services between Reading and Newbury, along with up to two services an hour to London Paddington. The journey to Reading takes just over 10 minutes, from where onward travel to a wider range of destinations can be accessed.

Paying for your Journey
Catching the bus or train no longer has to mean fumbling around for change before hopping on to pay the driver or conductor in a rush! There are so many different ways to pay for your journey now that you may feel a little spoilt for choice!
